Tombs of the seven KINGS

The figure seven in the history of Idumuje Ugboko is quite outstanding in view of the seven streams, the seven kings, and the seven tombs, is worthy of note. History has it that the first seven kings of Idumuje Ugboko each lived for an average of 100 years plus, thus the history of the palace been over 700 years old. Meanwhile by the culture and tradition of the kingdom, a king must not be buried in the public nor in the open, thus the late king must be buried in a house specially built for that purpose.

In the light of the above, the tombs of the first seven kings of Idumuje Ugboko kingdom is one of the beautiful historic attractions in a section of the palace of the obi, as they rest gloriously in their ‘royal homes’ that houses the seven tombs
