The Nwoko dynasty of Idumuje Ugboko has provided classy and outstanding individuals who have been recognized with honours and awards like no other family in the history of Delta state and Nigeria as a nation!. The legion of awardees was pioneered by “The young Nwoko”. The obi of Idumuje, who was one of western region delegates to the constitutional conference in the fifty’s in London.
He was recognized by the queen of England with the British national honours of MBE. Following in his track are three prominent Nwokos who have bagged various national honours in Nigeria, namely;
* Professor Demas Nwoko – OON HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS,
* Dr. Albert Nwoko, MON, JP, obi of Idumuje ugboko.
* Professor Sam Nwoko – OON. A feat no other town or family has matched.
